All techniques and subjects of Haiku & Tanka will be considered. We encourage new and established writers to submit.  We also encourage conventional and experimental technique. Poetry should be edited and ready for publication, typed in a combination of lower and upper case or lower case only. Please don't submit haiku or tanka typed in all upper case.  We will have to return it.

Please submit at least 10 to 15 of your original creations in each submission.  Send your haiku and/or tanka inside email. We cannot open attachments. We accept simultaneous submissions, however, we prefer original, unpublished material for our readers to enjoy. Please don't send us material that has been published across the web.

Include your name and city, state, and country in a brief bio of about 50 words, as our pages are columned and bio area is limited. You are encouraged to include your photo.

Please be sure to send your contact email address inside your poetry submission.  Haiku and Tanka will not be published without a poet's full name or writer's alias, in other words, no anonymous submissions please.  Please view our Calendar for submission and publication dates.

Although we may archive some selected pages, all poetry remains the sole property of the poets who submit them. Poets reserve all rights to their work, at all times. Please read our Copyright information.

Artists and illustrators retain sole rights to their art, at all times.

Please query before submitting art, with a brief description of your style of work and url of a web site where you art is currently displayed.  Our space is limited to 3 pieces of art per issue.  Art will not be archived.

Haiku Haven is a quarterly publication.  During launch, new material will be added to our web site during the month of June.  We will reply to your submissions as promptly as possible.  Thanks for your patience.
