Bright paints splashed  canvas,
strokes spread over all  edges
weaves web of beauty
 


Ballet 

Grace,  fluidity,
sore feet, sprains, strains, tight  muscles
worth their  sacrifice




Cello

Mello tones, sleek  build
strum with fingers or hold long  bow
results,  amazing


Weeping  Willow 

Tall  weeping willow,
bent  by all furious winds
fill  this country road



Summer 

Summer,  their best time
large  crowds head to hot beach
home,  on my hammock



Cadence 

Raindrop symphony,
rhythmic tapping, soothing  sounds
a peaceful night?s                                                       
 


Night Place 

Calm  night, earthy place
one  key issue is gently
snip  jasmine and smell



Sense  of Duty 

Excitement  duty
responsible  challenge,
my  sense of success

   

Sunset   

Soft  sequoia sun,
with  peach hues, slowly sink
lovely  end today
         

Calm  Within

Deep,  peaceful ocean
schools  of many fish species
swim  in unison



Kung  Fu 


Akin  to dancing,
mind  and body work as one
more  self-awareness
 

 

Autumnal Equinox 

Summer welcomes fall,
leaves change color, winds turn cool
love cozy fire





Tai  Kwan Do 

Hard  kicks and punches
meant  to inflict pain or death
extreme  self-defense




Soft Shadows 

Soft shadows contain
warmth, courage, more than you know
just know where to look



Cactus  Flower 

Radiant  pink petals,
slow,  alternating blossoms,
peak  of enjoyment





Moonlight  Mist

Moonlight,  mist capture
your  chord of romance within,
open  up , to feel

Marie Kinney: I was born in Ohio, first of five girls. 
After graduating nursing school, Bob and I were 
married and I've been following him all over the 
country ever since.   
~
I contributed an article on breastfeeding in a book 
on  newborn care written by the OB Unit,cookbooks for 
the  Montessori School, and The Appleton Medical 
Hospital Cookbook.
~
During our time in Texas, I  was a member of The 
Woodlands Writer's Guild, and served as  secretary.
~
I have several poems published in several VoicesNet 
Anthologies, and on AuthorsDen.com.
We now live in  Lexington, Ky and enjoy being empty-nesters.
